We had a 3-storey full house refurb with loft conversion and garden project. Reaching out to several D&B companies, my and my husband felt that GDL was the right one for us to employ, as they showed great professionalism, ethics, always prompt communication and top notch build.
We went through planning, design and build with GDL and all stages were really well handled. Builders were always on time, clean and tidy, the office was always supportive and helped a lot in making every wish of ours come true. Budget-wise we did spend slightly more than we anticipated to, but it was all down to additions and amendments which we have decided to go for along the way. Timing-wise we had a slight overrun, which was due to change of specs and a few pain in the neck suppliers.

We recently finished our refurbishment project with GDL, and I must say – the results were absolutely fantastic! Even though neither myself, nor my husband are in any way savvy consturcion-wise, we never felt left out of our own project. The team took their time to explain everything and answer our questions, giving their expert advice at each step, but also listening to our preferences and wishes for the final finish. Our Project Manager, Bobby, was very kind and so accommodating – he took every chance to meet with us when we needed something, and even came along when we were picking-out the finishing touches! As for their workers, referred to as trades – they were all very professional and performed their tasks with a very high standard. It was a great experience, all things considered and, even though there were some causes of stress – all of which were of course professionally handled by GDL, there were no significant causes for delay or concern and we were able to move-in as planned – just in time for our little one!

Mariyan was really helpful as soon as he came to quote. He thought of small details that we wouldn’t have considered to improve the look. The original quote was the final payment even though there was additional work because of the plaster on the walls of our old house. Michael was friendly and flexible in the way he approached the work.
He thought carefully about what he was doing, offering advice and even hiding pipes, we weren’t expecting to improve the finished look. The finish was a high quality and there was good attention to detail.
We were really pleased with the work – very helpful in terms of quoting and stuck to the price. The work was carried out quickly and within the timeframe. We had an issue with the floor tiles which needed a couple of return visits to resolve – however, Mariyan stuck the promise of the year’s guarantee and fixed the issue. Mariyan and his team took on the job of redecorating our 5 bed house and renovating 3 bathrooms (including a complete rebuild of the master en-suite). Their attention to detail is meticulous and work is to an excellent standard. Mariyan brought important items to our attention that we would never had known about (such as fitting fire-rated spotlights and fully repairing our damaged wood floors). He exudes confidence and knowledge in his job and works hard to meet his deadlines. I don’t trust anyone else.

Mariyan and his team undertook the complete re-fit and re-tile of my en-suite shower room. I supplied all the materials and Mariyan supplied the specialist tradesmen and project management. Quotation process: Arrived on time, answered all questions fully, had copies of references and invited me to contact his recent clients, showed before/during/after photos of recent jobs on his iPad, had copies of current public liability and professional indemnity insurance certificates and prepared a quotation in good time. Mariyan was very professional and gave a good initial impression. the project: The project lasted 9.5 days with one tradesman on-site for most of the days. This was slightly over the anticipated 8 days. Mariyan and his team made recommendations throughout the project which enhanced the original design. The project was fully completed together with a couple of additional small jobs which partly explains the small overrun. The property was left in a clean and tidy state and all rubbish was removed. The quality of the work was very high throughout with clear attention to detail demonstrated consistently. The end result definitely surpassed my expectations. Summary: Mariyan clearly has high standards and this is reflected in the attitude of his employees. I would certainly use GDL Property again for my next home improvement project and would definitely recommend their services

We recently had a loft conversion completed by GDL Property. We invited a few other companies to quote for the job but with GDL Property we felt that we were in extremely safe hands. We have done a lot of research ourselves.
The communication between us and the company was fantastic, we wanted and were involved in the whole process. We had a very good guidance through the planning stage, exploring different possibilities in design and getting inspiration and ideas beforehand, to the first class input and execution of GDL Property’s team.
The team had a lot of experience because they were able to come up with some creative ideas for the compromised space we had and were very competitive with their quote. We have small children and the workers were very respectful and considerate.
The builders were clean, tidy, efficient and all works were completed within the time originally stated and of an excellent quality with attention to the detail. We felt that the end results and clients’ interests and needs were more important than what was easier/ quicker to do.
We are absolutely thrilled with the results and we love our new space! For all these reasons we highly recommend them.
